Lately I’ve found myself drawn more and more to out of the way backwater places that no one else pays much attention to, and less and less to the big world famous reservoir practically out the back door. I guess there just seem to be too many people, and I’d like to get away [...] Over the weekend, my friend Ronald and I took an overnight kayak fishing trip down North Alabama’s Flint River. The water was high from heavy rains a few days earlier, and the fishing has been better. Still, the weather was nice, we caught a few fish, and it was great to be outside.
The comments for the last post gave me an idea for a series on favorite old bass lures. I don’t bass fish with conventional gear nearly as much as I used to, but I remember it fondly. I still love catching bass on the old lures when I get the chance, and I have [...] Yeah, I know it’s pathetic to live in Alabama with our mild winters, and yet wait until late March before getting out for some fishing.
